Triplets, 16 Days OId

11/20: Today when we walked in to NICU--to our very pleasant surprise we see Austin, Matthew AND Emily in OPEN cribs!!! We were so excited!! The test will be for the babies to maintain their body temperature. It is really hard work for them to do this so this is a trial run! By lunch time, both Matthew and Emily were doing well but our little Austin was cold--just like Daddy---So, at lunchtime they decided to put Austin back in his incubator. It's okay. We knew the possiblitity of it. We just want what's best for the babies!! All babies are doing well but they are continuing to have 'breathing episodes'. Once again, the doctors and nurses say this is normal and they will get better as their bodies and little lungs get stronger. Keep praying for them and for us!
Important Updates:
Austin weighed in at 3 lbs 10 oz
Matthew weighed in at 3 lbs 9 1/2 oz
Emily weighed in at 3 lbs 12 oz
Happy Thoughts:
We want to send a very special appreciation note to a young lady by the name of Lydia. Lydia is 4 years old and has been a special prayer warrior for out little babies. We want to tell her that her prayers go straight to Jesus because our babies are growing and getting bigger and stronger every single day!!

All three babies in open cribs!

Mom enjoying the moment!! I am by Austin's crib, Emily is in the middle and Matthew is by the window!!

We are elated to hear that the babies are doing so well! We will continue filling the heavens with our prayers.

Thank you for your special note to Lydia. When we shared your note of thanks she commented that both God and Jesus has assigned very special angels from heaven to watch carefully over each baby while they are in the NICU.

Lydia also added that God has your entire family in his loving arms, as he knows how much you all need a great big hug!

Lovingly,
The Kim's

OK, I think that I did not know the extent to which Lydia is a remarkable person. Look at the faith in that young lady. Yea, Brenda and Calvin for the great job you are doing raising her. Also, special thanks for joining us at Our Savior Lutheran Preschool. I am loving getting to know you.
