5/24: WE have had lots of rain! I forgot how much it rains here! The first few days of rain were great because it was nice and cool but now the humidity has kicked in and it is really muggy out! On other news, we are doing great! The Peas are adjusting to eating cereal. Every day it's different. Some days Emily does great and loves cereal, other days she spits it out and looks at me like I'm crazy for feeding her cereal. Same goes for the boys! We just take one day at a time - yes, Norma we can't do two! Routine: Our routine is slowly becoming more permanent. We know that we nap in the morning, at noon and mid-afternoon. Naps are not long but are welcomed! Our night time routine has not changed much. Remember, although the babies are 28 weeks it is like they are 18 weeks so we are still getting up every 3-4 hours! Some nights are better than others! Some nights we are zombies warming up bottles and hoping that the Peas go back to sleep....which they do. Months ago it would take us almost 2 hours to feed three babies and now it takes us about 18-20 minutes! It's great! The Peas are all early risers! They are usually up by 5 am!!!
On an average day we change about 25 - 28 diapers! On an average day we make about 72 to 85 ounces of formula! On an average day we give about 350 to 500 kisses! On an average day we rock about 8 to 10 hours! On an average day we use about 6 to 10 bibs! On an average day we watch Baby Einstein 2 to 3 hours! (sometimes it's Elmo!!) On an average day I thank God at least a dozen times for my little Peas!
Milestones: We are reaching our milestones! It is awesome when one of the babies does something new! Today, Emily rolled from her back to her tummy for the first time!! Yay! It seems that she is always first to reach a milestone and brothers are sure to follow in the next day or two!!!
Mommy News: I am down to pumping only once a day for about 10 minutes. It's starting to end! Although I am thankful that I was able to do it for this long and my beautiful Peas got my breastmilk for so long there is something sad about it ending.
5/19: Today the Peas are 28 weeks! Wow! Where does time go? Everybody says enjoy the babies because they grow up so fast and it is so true. It seems just yesterday my precious babies were in the NICU weighing only 3 lbs! Everyday that goes by I feel so incredibly blessed that our good Lord answered our prayers! The Peas are 28 weeks old (chronological) however their corrected age is 4 months. Meaning if we had one baby and the baby was born on time---our baby would be 4 months. So, although the Peas are 6 1/2 months old we have not been able to start them on cereal UNTIL today!! YAY! We have been looking forward to this adventure.
DAY 1: Peas had no clue what to do! All 3 kept spitting it out! We might not be ready for cereal. We will try again tomorrow!
The Lineup! Austin, Emily & Matthew
You want me to eat WHAT?!What is this stuff?DAY 2: Girls RULE!! Emily figured out what to do! That's my girl! We had about 2 tablespoons of cereal!
DAY 3: Matthew is starting to catch on. Austin is totally having fun playing with it between his fingers and blowing it out!
DAY 4: Austin is trying but not really eating he is enjoying making bubbles with his cereal! So cute!
After our first adventure with cereal we all needed a bath!On other news, we are seeing our babies grow and thrive everyday! The Peas love tummy time, we love to be read to, we love Baby Einstein and love for Mom and Dad to hold and love on us!
Mom with MatthewDad with AustinEmily loving tummy time!Yesterday Matthew was taking a nap on one of the vibrating chairs. I didn't strap him in and when I returned he had totally slipped off and all that was left was his little head on the chair. It was so cute and funny at the same time!
Matthew napping with our favorite turtle. We only have one of these and all three babies LOVE the turtle!
5/17: It looks like 95% of our boxes are unpacked. Yes, we still have some boxes in the garage but they are non-essential items that will remain in boxes until we have time to deal with them! So, we invited friends to come and join us in celebrating our new house and our new family! We had a great time! Rob smoked a boston butt for 12 hours (he got up at 2am to start smoking it!) It was delicious!! I married a great cook! He also made his delicious bbq ribs!! We enjoyed seeing everyone!

5/11: Austin had a temp all weekend. He got 6 month shots on Friday. He was the only one that developed syptoms! Poor little guy just felt awful all weekend long. I held and loved on him as much as I could. He slept in our room so we could monitor him all night! On Monday afternoon, he seemed quite blotchy and upon inspection he looked like he had a rash or hives. So, Rob called advise nurse who told him to go to ER quickly. He did while I stayed home and got Emily and Matthew ready for bed and waited for our good friend Christy to arrive. She watched babies while I went to hospital to meet up with Rob and baby Austin. As it turned out, the pediatrician on duty said it was a simple viral infection and prescribed benadryl. After only one dose, Austin was much better. Our first ER visit!! Thanks Christy for coming to help us!!!
5/10: It's Mother's Day! This is the FIRST time I get to celebrate this amazing day! I am so blessed to have a great Mom in my life. I am also incredibly blessed to finally be a MOM! It is the greatest thing in the world! I got so many cards that I get teary thinking about them! Thank you to all my friends and family who remembered that today for the first time ever I could celebrate Mother's Day!! Rob and my Peas sent me beautiful flowers! Rob's intent was to let me sleep in...hehe...like that would ever work here! We got up early and I submitted my request for ebelskivers! (this might be starting a family tradition!) We had batter left over and I even attempted to make a batch! It was fun! We had fun today playing with the babies on their boppy tummy time mats! (thanks Toni!! these are awesome!! the peas love them!!)The PeasAustin
5/8: We had our check up today! In order for all 3 Peas to be seen at the same time I had to book the appointment for 7:40am! It was early and it is quite hectic to try to get out of the house that early with 3 babies--but we made it there with about 5 minutes to spare! The Peas are growing very well! I am amazed that at one point these little babies weighed about 3 lbs!! Here are their currents stats! Oh, we also got our 6 month shots!
