Carrots

6/23: It is finally here! The babies get to eat baby food! Yay! We are really excited to start! We decided our first veggie would be carrots! We will be doing 6 days of carrots followed by 6 days of sweet potatoes followed by squash. Orange/yellow veggies first! Emily loved carrots from the first taste! She was just smacking away! The boys were unsure until they had a few bites! They were so cute! We are just now starting them on food because everything has to be adjusted/corrected to what would be their "real" age

Lexington at Ellie's

6/15 to 6/22 - After San Antonio, we went to Ellie's to spend the rest of the week! Rob needed to do some work at our property and I was going to spend some time with my family. Norma and my parents came up to visit with us and the Peas! We had a great time visiting! Here are pics of our visit! Welo is completely in love with the Peas!! I am very happy that we were able to visit with everybody!! Aunt Ginger gave us a recipe for this wonderful cake and Ellie baked it twice! That's how good it was! So, once again, fun and food! Here are pics of the week!

San Antonio

6/10 to 6/14 - We spent some time in San Antonio. Chapel Services for Keith were Saturday, June 13. Amidst the pain and sorrow we were happy to see all of our family. My father-in-law and Lynn flew in from Montana and we were overjoyed to see them! They got to meet their grandbabies! We also got to meet Keith's daughter, Patricia Ann. She is a lovely young lady and I am so glad that the Peas met their cousin! Here are pictures of our time in San Antonio!

In Memory Of Keith

6/8: My brother in law, Keith William Walter, passed away last night. It was quite unexpected! We are deeply saddened by our loss! Keep our family in prayer! The following pictures were taken in March when Keith met Austin, Matthew and Emily! We will miss you so very much!!

Keith William Walter
1961-2009
Keith celebrated the simple miracles of everyday life. He cherished most of all the love of family and friends.

I'm Free
Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free
I'm following the path God laid for me.
I took His hand when I heard him call;
I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day,
To laugh, to love, to work or play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way;
I found that place at the close of day.
If my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared a laugh, a kiss;
Ah yes, these things, I too will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life's been full, I savored much;
Good friends, good times, a loved ones touch.
Perhaps my time seems all to brief;
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your heart and share with me,
God wanted me now, He set me free.

Celebrating 7 Months of JOY

6/4: The Peas are Seven months today! It is unbelievable! It seems to be going so FAST! The Peas are doing GREAT! They are doing more and more each and every day! I am astounded at their progress! Today, Austin rolled from his back to his belly! He was the only one that had not accomplished this task. So funny that it was today because I was on the phone with my father in law earlier and he asked me about rolling and I had reported that he had not rolled yet...later...he did it! WOW! I am so amazed at my little peas! Also, today they got to play with their new turtles. We had one turtle that I got in Hawaii and they all loved this turtle! They played and played with it so I looked for it online and found it...it is a Lamaze Turtle by Learning Curve. So, I ordered 2 turtles and they arrived last night! They are perfect because these turtles have a blue body and the old one is purple. So, the boys got the new one and Emily gets to keep the old one! We also celebrated by making hand impressions with plaster! We have been trying to do this for months but as you know....our lives are quite busy!!!

Cereal, Tomatoes, Peppers and Bird Eggs

6/3: Everybody asks how I do it? I am not really sure! I just do...every day is a new adventure. Some days are easy some days are really hard! Overall, I am just a happy mom trying to take care of little ones! They are my light and my joy!

Alabama Rain

5/24: WE have had lots of rain! I forgot how much it rains here! The first few days of rain were great because it was nice and cool but now the humidity has kicked in and it is really muggy out! On other news, we are doing great! The Peas are adjusting to eating cereal. Every day it's different. Some days Emily does great and loves cereal, other days she spits it out and looks at me like I'm crazy for feeding her cereal. Same goes for the boys! We just take one day at a time - yes, Norma we can't do two!
Routine: Our routine is slowly becoming more permanent. We know that we nap in the morning, at noon and mid-afternoon. Naps are not long but are welcomed! Our night time routine has not changed much. Remember, although the babies are 28 weeks it is like they are 18 weeks so we are still getting up every 3-4 hours! Some nights are better than others! Some nights we are zombies warming up bottles and hoping that the Peas go back to sleep....which they do. Months ago it would take us almost 2 hours to feed three babies and now it takes us about 18-20 minutes! It's great! The Peas are all early risers! They are usually up by 5 am!!!

On an average day we change about 25 - 28 diapers!
On an average day we make about 72 to 85 ounces of formula!
On an average day we give about 350 to 500 kisses!
On an average day we rock about 8 to 10 hours!
On an average day we use about 6 to 10 bibs!
On an average day we watch Baby Einstein 2 to 3 hours! (sometimes it's Elmo!!)
On an average day I thank God at least a dozen times for my little Peas!

Milestones: We are reaching our milestones! It is awesome when one of the babies does something new! Today, Emily rolled from her back to her tummy for the first time!! Yay! It seems that she is always first to reach a milestone and brothers are sure to follow in the next day or two!!!

Mommy News: I am down to pumping only once a day for about 10 minutes. It's starting to end! Although I am thankful that I was able to do it for this long and my beautiful Peas got my breastmilk for so long there is something sad about it ending.
