Almost HOME!
12/19: Austin makes it home! Our family is now complete and is finally together!! It is the best day ever!! It feels amazing to have our 3 babies home! Last night was our first night with TWO babies! It really was NOT as bad as we thought it was going to be! The babies only woke up when it was time to eat!! We are tired but not as tired as we could be!!Important Updates:
Austin weighs 5 lbs 10 oz

12/12: We got up extra early this morning. We wanted to go to the hospital early. The babies looked wonderful when we arrived! The boys are healing very well from their circumcisions. Big news today--Austin made it to 5 lbs thus catching up to Matthew and Emily! Emily had just eaten and was wide awake! She is usally the most alert after eating! She is just too cute for words! Dad held her first and then I held her for a little while but both boys had to be fed. So, I put Matthew to breast for about 5 minutes (until he got frustrated-milk too slow coming out!) and then I fed him and Dad fed Austin! BTW, my milk production is slowly returning--it's not quite where it was when the infection started but I have faith that it will get back up there! We were in the hospital for about 3 hours and then we left to go downtown to the Health Dept. We were so excited---we got our babies Birth Certificates! (Of course, we had to deal with Honolulu traffic!) We went and had a late lunch at Dave & Buster's. Later in the afternoon, the mailman dropped off a package. One of my Lockheed Martin collegues from our San Diego Branch sent us baby gifts. Carol made handmade crochet baby afghans for Austin, Matthew and Emily! They are so beautiful! Carol, THANK YOU! If that wasn't enough for a great Aloha Friday our next door neighbor Paula brought us yummy homemade Christmas cookies!! I think I gave myself a tummy ache eating too many! Thanks, Paula!!
